JBL GTO936 6X9 's

Does anybody know how these rear speakers are for a 7th Gen Accord V6 Coupe?

I checked out the spec's on Crutchfield.com and they seem very impressive.

Here are the specs:

JBL's GTO speakers are elegant in design, fiery in output. An edge-driven Kaladex dome tweeter handles plenty of power and maintains clean high-frequency output without distorting. The Plus One poly woofer cone with its hi-roll rubber surround delivers exceptional bass performance.

The 3-way GTO936 6"x9" speakers pack a serious sonic punch. The poly woofer bangs out big bass, while the Kaladex tweeter and supertweeter offer accurate midrange and extensive high-frequency output. Grilles included.

Key Features:
polypropylene woofer oversized Plus One cone for extended low-frequency response and increased efficiency
high-roll rubber surround (resists moisture and heat for extended speaker life)
edge-driven Kaladex (polyethylene naphthalate film) dome tweeter
Kaladex dome supertweeter
sensitivity 91 dB
frequency response 50-21,000 Hz
recommended power range 2-100 watts RMS
peak power handling 300 watts
top-mount depth 3-1/16"
1-year warranty

What are the best 6X9's in everyone's opinion..

dont think JBL's r the best
i've heard people very happy with alpine, infinity, kicker.....
the rears, people use as sound-fills. i need some bassy ones too make up for the lack of bass in my front components. i will highpass my fronts at 125hz and bandpass my rears at 50hz and 150hz.....

but the specs on the JBLs seem pretty good. compare em side by side with the rest and then u'll choose. remember about the magnet and depth!

Thanks Big Lou

Thanks Big Lou for your opinion. I did research them against the other speakers and the specs were good. But I will continue to research other speakers.

Just thought these JBL's were great because of the specs.

2 way versus 3 Way

Does it matter if the rears are 2 way versus 3 way.

I ask because the speakers I'm looking for :

Alpine Type-R SPR-694A is 2 way

the the

JBL GTO935 is 3 way.

yes, JBL does make good speakers, but others do too
just put the specs side by side, also factor in money
look at mounting depth especially, along with SPL, freq response, power handling, etc.... remember, u want the highest SPL!

the 2 and 3 ways give diff freq responses. i would go with 2 ways in back.... more of a fill-in speaker in back
reason being, u wanna have the front being the mids and highs, the louder of the two.......
i am currently in the search of good 6x9's myself, with some bass. i will get an amp.....
but i lean towards the high end of audio, thus the reason i got focal components and PPI amp.......

and 125 and lower in the rear
SO, i may go with audiobahn 6x9's, they got one where u can remove the tweeter inside, if u dont want em.....
i need another PPI amp for those and i'm set
