Where can i find some Red/Clear Taillights?

Hey guys, where is a good place to buy some red/clear taillights for a 00 sedan? I want some red/clear to replace my cracked taillight when someone hit it overnight and ran I try doing a search, first search was "sedan taillights", second search was "red and clear taillights" and third search was "red clear" I got alot of different threads talking about the taillights but none of those threads meantion where they bought their taillights from or how much. Am i using the wrong keywords in my search? Well if any one know of a place, or can find any info, please reply. Thanks i really appricated it :-)

u can just buy the all clear lights and paint them with transparent spraypaint. I think u can find the all clear lights on ebay and the spraypaint from ur local hobby shop.

You can clear them out if you have the 01-02 taillights, but he has the 2000 taillights. Even if you clear 'em out, it doesn't help because the casing of the light is purplish.

Weird. But you are right I cant find them at procarparts either, I even put in the part number from when i ordered them back in April. No luck there. They were 99.99 plus like 20 some odd shipping.

Good luck finding them.

Man i'm fawking piss!!! I won the damn auction on ebday for 99 dollars and i sent the money and everything. Procarparts.com even sent me a tracking number, but then my money was refunded and when i called them they said "we got reports of the taillights having leaking problems where water was leaking into the taillights, we told the manufactor and so they stopped making them and we don't carry them any more, sorry." I was like WTF?!?!!?!??!!??!!? What the hell do i do now, i got a cracked taillight that needs replacing and i sure as hell don't want altezza The OEM ones are just pain old fawking ugly with the pinkisk/orange strip on the top. Can anyone suggest anything? ANYTHING at all??? please i'm desparate here!!!

Either you can wait for someone to sell theirs on this site, or you can get the 2001-2002 taillights. They come in red clear, but different pattern.

but ye that leaking problem is a REAL *****..
I have them, and they always get water caught in them, and when i open my trunklid, the water leaks into my trunk onto my system

Oh also, i think Autodynamic.com used to carry them. I'm not sure if they're from the same manufacturer as procarparts or not, but hey its worth a shot.

ORRRRRRR lol, i j/thought of this.
You can buy CLEAR taillights off ebay, and j/paint them red/clear.

I would have to modify my trunk to make them fit, too much work.

The TYC tail lights are ok, but i don't like the fact that they stick out WAY TOO MUCH. I'll give autodynamic a try. Thanks guys.

Umm... I opened up the taillights and cleaned it out (u kno if u leave water in there for a while, it starts eating at the reflective silver finish, and it turns black), and then resiliconed it and closed it.

It helped but not much. What you CAN do to COMPLETELY eliminate any leaking, is to silicone the bulb harness onto the taillight itself, thats where the water leaks from. But im not sure if u wanna do that..

well I think silicone can be peeled off without much trouble, so wat i might do is put silicone around where the bulb connects into the taillight itself, that should stop all leaks.

mine were leaking where the 2 1/2 of the housing come together, not where the bulbs insert.

my only piece that leaked was the drivers side on the trunk lid.
the housing doesnt fit properly into the oem position so the vertical part of the trunk lid (when closed) was aimed right at the crack where the 2 pieces are siliconed together.
i just silconed up the whole joint all the way around, and now i dont have a problem.

iLLeGaLaKKoRD- are you sure thats where the water got in? thats where my water came OUT of, when i opened the trunk, but i really dont see how water could get IN thru there.

Yes thas where mines comes out of. But it can't go in anywhere else, because ive siliconed the edges PERFECTLY as there is no gap anywhere..

i didnt open it up, but i could see how the people who made it did a crappy job, because the 2 pieces werent shoved all the way together. so i just filled the gap in with clear silicone. heh, twice.
