yeup double sided tape.

the thing w/the EBAY ones, is that they're made of a cheap thin/brittle plastic..

The best ones in my opinion, are the AUTODYNAMIC ones, they're like $19.99 +s/h. But they're made of a strong thick ABS plastic.

How well does the double sided tape hold up through the rainy season? Do you guys change the tape out every month?

no measily little rain storm is gonna make it fall off.

The ones I have (on the green car in the picture) are the autodynamic ones. I used double sided tape, and have never had to replace it in over a year.

if you use 3m double sided tape and you use enough...i put some across the whole thing...it wont come off. Which sux cuz i want to take mine off to paint them and it wont come off. So dont worry about them falling off, i live in FL and it rains here all the time.

use a hair dryer to head up the tape area so you can peel it back, if it doesn't come apart you may need waxed dental floss and maybe a credit card(one that you want to cut up/not keep) and pry it loose.

i used....velcro...damn, straight outta compton...

i didn't have any problems when i change my headlights to black housing though and i can take the eyebrows off to clean and wax them once and a while. I had them painted 3 years ago...full paint job on them 3 lyrs of primer 6 lyrs of paint and 3 clear coat...cost me $40 but they match perfect...i think after 3 years, they need to be repainted soon i would say.

ok guys, i just got these today, so im gonna paint them soon, cuz im too cheap to have a body shop do it. i have color matched spraypaint from tower paint that matches perfect, but should i sand these things down and primer them before i paint? or just paint them and call it a day? i assumed i should at least sand them, but i dunno.

they'll come out pretty good if u dont sand 'em. But j/incase there are minor imperfections in the plastic, u cud sand 'em.
And yea just primer and paint, and clear coat after

if they are plastic dont worry about sanding, just primer and paint. remember light coats.

Thanks for the advice on taking off the eyebrows.

K I'm going to buy these, but a couple questions

1) What do you mean "primer" it first?
2) And by "sanding" do you mean exactly what it means by using sandpaper and sanding it down? But wouldn't that make scratches all over?
3) And I have to clear coat these?
4) What spray paint color matches with Nighthawk black?

Sorry for all the questions! Thanks in advance.

Hmm lets see...

1. primer is a spray you can buy (found with the spray paints), its usually black or grey most of the time, and wat it is, is a spray, that u spray onto watever ur painting first, so that the paint STICKS to it and doesn't j/run right off, its wat the paint bonds to.

2. just use a very fine sandpaper to sand down any imperfections, u wont get scratches enough to notice under the paint. You'll most probably NOT need to sand them down.

3. you dont NEED to, but its better to clear coat it. you can buy a can (also found right next to the spray paints), after ur done doing a few coats of the paint, do atlesat 2 or 3 coats of clear, it protects ur paint from getting scratched off by road debris, and also adds depth to ur paint.

4. If your lucky, you can go to a autostore (ie: AidAuto, Autozone, Pepboys, etc.) and find EXACT color match spray paints (some stores usually have it), but when I went to find nighthawk black for my car, they didn't have it, they told me "black is black", but they had all the other colors that honda makes, like "emerald pearl, naples gold, taffeta white, signet silver, etc..).

In that case either you can use another black, OR take it to a bodyshop, and have them do it for u..

Hope that answers ur questions.
