Anyother Body Mod Question: 01-02 Front Upper Grill Shave Q.

Got about 13 parts waiting to be installed, and car is scheduled to go into bodyshop in 3 weeks, so my question is this....

On the 01-02 sedans on the front grill, i've asked the shop to cut off the 2 middle bars from the front, smooth out the edges, and paint it. Afterwards, i'm going to toss on a black mesh grill right behind both the top and bottom of the bumper behind the grill, and stick a "Accord" Emblem on it.

Now my question is this... do I need to get a Type-R style grill to fill in the empty spots, or will that as is be good enough?

And another thing, should I put the accord emblem in the middle or on the side? what do you guys think? And should I go ahead and paint the emblem black or leave it Shiny?

i think a black grille with the shiny accord emblem in the lower left or right, your pref., would look good. BTW, what color is your car?

haven't done it yet..... that's why i'm asking for opinion....

only problem i'm worried is that, the lack of a horizontal bar that goes across the top of the grill will make it look bad

I replaced my 02 front bumper with the 98 year and waiting my shop to shave the upper grill, then a mesh will go behind the accord emblem. I don't think a type-r style grill will fit, unless you find one that does. About the positioning of the emblem, if you have a feeling that it doesn't look right...change it.

I know we've got a different bumper and grill (mine is some weird asian version)... heheh... but i'd just like to give you ideas on what it may relatively look like in the end..... mind you, my stock grill is entirely different from the one's being sold in the US cheers....
