How difficult is Carbon Fiber hood installation?

Just got a hood, but dont want to spend like 30/40 bucks to have a shop put it in. I was told its a hassle, becuase it takes a lot of adjustments to make sure the hood lines up correctly. Im sure itll fit, its ViS afterall...So you think myself (novice installer) and a buddy, can do it? Or, too much of a hassle?

Thanks
-Dom

serious??...

you can even do it by yourself... the hardest thing you gotta do is take off the heavy OEM hood and everything after that is cake.... since you got VIS fitment won't be a problem

I wouldnt do it by myself, the hood is a pretty heavy and bulky item to be handling on your own. If you scratch your hood or your fenders you would be pissed

Definately true...... don't really see how only one person could do it...... holding it up and trying to get the bolts in at the same time.

One hint I read somewhere was to tape the edges of the hood and the edges of the front fenders (at the engine compartment), so that if it does accidentally hit, there is a smaller chance of doing damage to the fender paint or the hood itself. Use the blue painter's tape..... it comes off real easy.
