Q Forms kick pods anyone?

Has anyone tried the Q Forms kick panels for our cars?

I'm a bit concerned about foot room and loosing the dead pedal. In vehicle pictures would be great if anyone has some.

Thanks all.

yeah i would get them but my feet are too big and I always have my foot where the q-form is. Maybe you could make some and save some money.

why do you need them? only 5.75" speakers can fit in there. just put 6.5" speakers in the stock location.

Whew, took me a while to get back to this.

My idea there was to run a 3-way set, so would be looking for 5.25 and tweet in the kicks. My concern with the factory locations is the lack of depth. I've since ditched the kick concept since, after a long drive, I found I really enjoy the dead pedal.

I'm really just thinking of dropping some Infinity Reference speakers in. Fairly shallow and sounded good on the board. Hopefully no more complicated than a trim ring to line up holes. I'm just not up for making 3/4" spacers.

What have people done to install speakers in our cars with minimal custom work?

I put in the infinity reference slim mount speakers. It fit in with no problems I just drilled 2 holes into the plastic to secure the speaker.

I was running CDT 642 DTM in the accord. The 6.5" in the door and the mid and tweet in the kick panels. The q-forms drastically change the image and make a much better sound stage getting the drivers aimed at your head and not your calf. It depends how much you like your music.

I put kicker ss oversized 5.25 closer to 6.5 compnents in my door, I put the woofer in the factory location with a spacer ring set I got cheap at Circuit City. I drilled a seperate hole in my door panel to face the tweeters straight toward the passengers. It's a sweet set up and it looks good too.

I haven't seen any in an Accord, but they were always in the way in my friend's Civic. It was even difficult to hit the clutch.

I got them in my accord with the Boston Pros 3 way set. Got the 6.5 int he doors, 4" and tweets in kick panels and they do make a big difference in sound quality. But yeah, as far as leg room, it's not SO bad, but not that great either. I plan to take it to the shop and have them custom mold it into the factory kick panels so it's completely outta the way. They basically cut a hole in the metal frame and build like a small enclosure from the outside so it doesn't get in the way of anything. Should give my leg room back in there and when I do the 5 speed swap, that should be much better too.

I have the exact same setup and it kicks a$$ those speakers have a very high rms power. The crossover is huge though.
