I believe that there are 4 to 6 screws on the underside of the grill that need to be removed. I think the radiator support makes these difficult to.

yeah you need to take off the wholr front bumper .. shouldnt be hard at all ..

One bolt on each side of the front fenders ..

I think 5 on the front grille ..

And then 4? On the very bottom of the bumper ..

hope that helps you out .. should be easy man ..

No, the only and best way for you is to take the bumper off. Youll save more time and less stress on yourself by taking off the bumper rather then trying to squeeze through that space. First off, open your hood, there should be about 5 plastic pins along the radiator support, you just need to pull those out. 2nd, there should be 1 pin along the fenderlining in your wheel well, turn ur tires when taking them off, itll be easier (do that for both sides as you switch) Last, there should be some plastic pins below the front bumper, not sure how many there are on a 98. But there are 4 on a 01-02, two of them in the middle which connect the bumper to the body, and one on each side which connect to the fenderlining. Hope this helped

there is also 2 phillips head screws on the underside of the bumper where it wraps around to meet the fender. slide a flathead screwdriver under the heads of the plastic clips (push rivits) securing the grille and underside of the bumper and turn it sideways to lift the center out of the push rivit. that saves them so they can be used again. careful though ive had the heads break in half before. i keep em on reserve at the shop..... just incase
