OEM body kit!! YEAH!!

hey peeps, i'm planning to buy an OEM kit from this guy for the coupe, is it easy to put in?? its just a matter of finding the holes and put the bolts through, right? when the guy remove it from his car, will it be any damage for the lips?? i heard HOnda orginally glued it onto the car's body, is that correct?? if so then the paint will be strip right? so many questions... please give opinions, the more the better.

it costs me $100 to install it =( they had to drill holes...when i bought mine they came with some papers and i guess you line them up and that's where you drill holes...i just had a shop put it on for me. oh i think the side skirts don't need to drill holes just the front and rear needed drilling. it also have double side tape on it too.

it wasn't really that hard to install that you can it yourself. in your case you may need to get new double sided for the front and rear lip. as for the sides it might be a pain to get your current sidekirts off, just use a rubber mallet to get it loose.

The rear lip is the hardest part to install, IMO.

That's what took the longest when mine was put on.

Honestly, good luck finding the pieces.

It took me months to get all of the pieces. I got the sideskirts from a member on Honduh, and the front, and rear lip from a dealership in Ohio. They had a full kit on eBay, but I offered to take the front, and rear right away if they were willing to part it out.

Why does Dark Emerald Pearl have to be so rare?

EASIEST place to get the lip kit is from HandA. but its not the cheapest! I bought my rear and sides from them since they had them in my color, and then bought a front lip from a dealership here(friend works in parts there so i got it at cost) and then re-painted it, all in all took aboiut 1100-1200 dollars.
The kit is really easy to install too, you just need the templates that they come with, if you dont have them, i imagine you could buy them from honda for a few dollars...if not i might be ablt o find some of my instructiuons and templates and make copies for who ever needs them.

I believe I paid $280 shipped for the sides, and just over $500 for the front, and rear.

After I put it on, I stepped back, took a good look, and thought to myself... wow, my car needed this.

It's just the rear that needs to be drilled. I didn't have to drill the front lip and it was still ok.

Just make sure you line it up right.

Where can I get the full oem lip kit in Night Hawk Black? My accord looks naked with out it. I wish I could find it painted this color already so i don't have to worry about getting the pieces painted. Any suggestions?

It's very simple to install, just takes time. I've done it 2x with no problems. They use M3 tape. If your buying it used you will need to reline it.

I shall represent Satin Silver!
