need opinions from V6P!

one of our team's sponsors, GOTWRAPS, is giving an opportunity for 2 cars from the team to be fully sponsored and recieve a full-body wrap... i was one of the two chosen randomly to recieve the sponsorship... i'm ecstatic cuz it's a full sponsorship but at the same time debating whether i should go through with it or not...

i give them a theme i want for my car, drop it off in july, they'll take care of the design and won't see it again til a couple days before HIN LA when it will be revealed... the entire car will be wrapped... if i do go through with it, i want to get something futuristic, tech-ie... something totally custom like APPLESEED...

so now i'm lookin' to you guys for any opinions/suggestions you may have...

pros: something different, especially for a 6th gen accord
cons: never seen it done so unsure about the outcome...

recent pic of my ride....

couple cars done by GOTWRAPS

looks like they do pretty bad ass jobs.. especially the bike..

maybe it all depends exactly on your theme. what exactly did you want them to do. maybe they can pull it off.

considering it's a full body wrap, i'd like for them to try the APPLESEED theme.. it was a concept that i talked to them in the past but didn't want to pursue it cuz of low funds, but now that it's a FULL sponsorship i might try that out... and i have every faith in their ability to make a great design, it's just that i've never seen it done on a 6th gen, so it'll either make me or break me

lol.. yea those 2 cars i posted only have minimal graphics done to them... they only have the doors and panels done.. if you saw those cars in person tho, you would have a different opinion, the detail they put into their graphics is insane... with mine they plan on completely wrapping the vehicle... doors, panels, roof, trunk, hood... they're an up-and-comming business so they're gonna go all out and do some crazy things to our 2 cars...

appreciate your opinion tho .. keep'em comming

I've seen this when I went to HIN AZ. I wasn't to impressed with the design but the detail was perfect.

Full sponsorship, free graphics, a seat at HIN. . . there's nothing to really think about is there?? Go for it!! As for the graphics, go with something original, no flames, sword fighters, transformers, hello kitty, etc etc. and anyhow its not like the stuff can't come off. be sure to post a pic after its done. Congrats on the sponsorship and good luck!!!

Do they WRAP your car with art work or do they repaint it with artwork? I remember seeing the jigsawed paint job that was done to a car a while back. It was removeable like a real jigsaw puzzle. Pretty cool IMO.

I dont know about the whole Appleseed deal though. Doing Anime is tooo TYPICAL for a import car. Do something like.....V6P. LOL! Naw but stick with something thats a little more personal to make you car really stand out and yours.

here is my opinion..

honestly i think u should take this opportunity to expand your "car" portfolio..its never a bad thing about gettin free sponsorship, ..expecially the fact that you don't even have to pay partial. and since u're thinkin about having a different look next year, you mite as well give this a try, doesn't hurt... worst thing is u just take it off (but of course it all depends on the contract or agreement you sign)...

this is a good opportunity for you and for your team. you should go for it, its a new look, a new appeal to other manufacturer or company. u're chances of landing more sponsorship will improve with this sponsorship (hope u get what i'm sayin..lol)

just do it..just make sure u design or be part of the production process to get something that u agree on or like...

as for appleseed, i haven't seen anything like that..but its not something that interest me..(just my opinion) ..but like i said, do what u like..and this is a good opportunity for u..

I think it'd be a nice refresher for your car. If you don't like it how hard is it to remove? How long would you have to wait? Since you're into the show scene, this would likely help you win some awards, no?

it’s not paint, they work with combinations of vinyl and tint…

thanks for your insightful opinion man… change is always good so that’s why I’m considering this.. the only downside is like you said, the contract and agreement part… I still have to go discuss that with them.. also, I have to see if I can afford to lose my car for 3+ months or even longer… considering it is daily driven and my wife uses her SUV a lot… but we'll see... thanks

it’s very easy to remove… the only trophy I see myself competing for right now that I MIGHT win would be best graphics/vinyl…. If I still have the graphics on after my car gets redone next year them hopefully I’ll win in more categories..
