Did you paint that yourself? The paint quality looks awesome, be sure to post pics after you install it

Yes I painted it. *All out of cans from http://www.paintscratch.com* I Used Bulldog Adhesion first. Then Color matched paint. Then Duplicolor clear.

It took 35 Mins.

Bulldog is the sh!t. I use to use it all of the time when I work at a body shop. I still use when painting things for my car.

that's cool. i've been looking at that lip too, on ebay. post some pics after it's installed. how's the quality? I mean for about a bill shipped, it's not too bad considering honda oem lip is almost 3 bills shipped. Good work btw, imma go check that 'bulldog' stuff out.

If it's an 8oz can, I would say two, maybe 3 depending on how many coats of paint you use.

PoloFolk, I know this is offtopic.. but since it looks amazing in that pic..

is there anyway you can post a Detail DIY instruction on how you painted?
include the things you've used and stuff.. sorry to ask for such thing.
Im trying to paint a front lip also, but I want to do good. I painted Mugen lip for my AV6 once, but clear coat turned out like crap. Overall finish was good, but "brightness(shiny)" was no where near body shop's finish.

this is what I did:
1. Sand it
2. NAPA white Primer
3. Duplicolor Taffeta White Paint
4. Duplicolor clear coat

Do you have to use Primer Sealer after primer? Paint-gun or just spray can?
and what do you mean by paint-matched paint? did you match it yourself or just referring to DupliColor's paint-matching spray cans?

5 Steps.

Step 1: I Went to http://www.paintscratch.com And ordered one can of Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, One can of Color-matched paint that they mix for you in a spray can, Then one can Duplicolor clear.

Step 2: I Cleaned the lip with simple green.

Step 3: Sprayed on the Adhesion Promoter.

Step 4: Sprayed 5-6 light coats of the paint.

Step 5: Sprayed 3-4 light coats of duplicolor clear.

No Primer. My type r lip is ABS plastic, im sure that yours is too. I have held it up to the car and it matches perfect. I will be installing it soon, but I have been busy with moving from the current house to a new house.

Go check that website, It has all the stuff you need.

225, that's it? hmm, mine are 245 and they don't look nearly as wide. I guess it's just the pic.
