carbon fiber hood help

hey guys. i want to get a carbon fiber hood from visracing.com the invador type. but i got a few concerns. one is that you all know that 98-00 model accords have different front bumper and rear bumper design then the 01-02 accords. so my concern is that if i buy the carbon fiber hood will it fit. visracing list the hood as a 98 model accord but they told me it would fit. i got burned by buying a body kit that was said to be fitted for a 98-02 accord and the bumper in the front dont fit right. also visracing said they have this new design for the carbon weaving patern, does anyone have the new type of weave????
so to any of you guys who got the cf hood. tell me if it will fit my 01 accord.

i think they're all the same from 98-02, but the only difference is if it's a sedan or a coupe. coupe hood is a lil longer than the sedan hood.

^^ 98-00 is different from 01-02 for the sedan. the 01-02 hoods are embossed in the middle. like they rise up in the middle...whereas the 98-00 hoods are pretty much rounded...and have 2 creases. there's not as much lift in the middle. i think that also affects how it flows with the bumper. looks like to me the people who do the coupe front bumper swap on their sedans get less of a gap if they have an 01-02 sedan because the hoods extend further due to the higher middle section. the 98-00 hoods don't extend as far as the 01-02s.

Jeff is right. When you order the hood make sure that you tell them your year and you will be set. The good thing about the VIS is that you will get excellent fitment and if you have problems they will usually work with you.

there was a thread about VIS's new thread - they just ran out of CF from a certain location and are just getting their material from somewhere else - go search for it...it was on here a few months ago

That new weave doesn't look that bad at all. It was the lighting VIS had when they took their picture that made it look wierd.

Can you get a picture zoomed out more?
