Ebay Exhaust

I was wondering if anyone on hear is using one of those generic exhausts from ebay.

Something alone these lines.

Question is, if you have them, do you like them and what not? Do they produce a good sound or is it high and rice sounding?

They're only like 40 bucks and it seems like a semi decent bargain as opposed to throwing like 300 or so on a name brand item.

Thanks

-matt

i got my mufflers off ebay. it was a "no-name-brand" mufflers. the one i got was called "dragon-style" and it sounds nice. mine has a deep-tone to it, not to loud or ricey and you can notice it when you drive by.

I did the same thing but mine were the "N-1" Style, they don't hang too low so you don't have to worry about scraping the ground and have a nice low tone, im pretty happy with them IMO. Still gunna have to pay a bit to get them put on unless you can weld yourself

Just curious how much you all paid for yours. Cause theirs some worth like 10 bucks, some worth 20, and some like 35-40 bucks. Wondering if it really made a difference. Ones I were looking at are 8.50 plus 20 bucks in shipping.

Not yet, I'm on my work computer right now and I dont have speakers.

And is that 26 together or 26 each?

Cause I'm looking at a 8 dollar one but the problem is...its 8 dollars.

Here's the two I'm looking at...

The 8.50 one...

And the 20.00 one...

Personally, I kind of like the 8 dollar one more cause it has a bit of a slant. But you guys think it makes a difference if one is cheaper?

Those are fine. They are louder than most becuase of the N1 design. The first muffler that I had was a 8 dollar one off ebay. I had no probs. You should be fine. Somethings on your car you can cheap out on. The muffler is one of them as long as you dont live in cali or are going for performance numbers i.e. turbo, supercharger.

Heh. True. But I'm also a 17 year old kid who pays 250 dollar car payments on his AV6. I cant afford a Greddy, Apexi, or Comptech.

I can afford a 8 dollar Apexi fake though.

remember with mufflers, the shorter they are, the louder they will be.. when i was going through buying mine a couple years back when i got my car i went to the local performance shop and they had a big selection of mufflers there, the smallest one they had was $35 and was loud enough to set off car alarms all day.. mine was $70 and it was name brand.. not sure of the name, dont feel like looking either, but i think it was one of APC's Exhaust which have really good deep tones to them

I can understand your position, but don't cheapen your Accord with one of these mufflers. I think you would be better off going with some chrome tips on your OEM mufflers. Or, if you have a local salvage yard, slap on some CL or TL mufflers. But, I urge you, do not get one of these mufflers. It won't sound nice, it won't let good, and it won't be worth the measely $8, anyway.

ever hear one of those riced-out civics drive by with a "BBEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

the sound is all nasty and distorted....

wt do you think of them? ".....wt a dumb a55, how embarassing..." is what i would think.... and thats what people are gonna think of you.

and yes i know every engine makes a diff sound....and comparing a civic engine sound with an accord engine sound is on a different playing field... but stilll...same concept.
