Need Help w/ Grill

The grill I purchased from Driven arrived today, and I want to put it on. I can't though... after popping off the top pins, I don't know what to do to remove the stock grill. I tried sliding it, and pulling it, but it won't come out. I don't want to pull hard or anything because it might break my bumper cover. What am I supposed to do to get the damn stock grill off? Yes, I did a search for "remove, stock, grill" couldn't find anything that helped.

It seems that there's another screw underneath. Check this out http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...5=FRONT+GRILLE

You Dont have to take the bumer off. I did it to my 98 accord coupe just a few days ago. You should be able to slip a screw driver between the back of the grill and the radiator. What you do is take off the plastic plugs that hold the bumper to the top of the car. This will give you a little play to pull the bumper out. THere are 4 screws attaching the grill to the bottom. Start with the outside ones as they are easier. Then you can pull out the grill a little to get to the screws on the inside. It took me less than 10 minutes to do. Hope this helps.

Taking bumper off is exteremely easy. To get those clips off, get a flathead screwdriver and pop it up, then get pliars and pull them out. There are 2 philips screws and a bolt on eachside. Then pull it out, its better if you got a person to help but I always do it by myself and I do just fine. Good luck

Well... it took me over an hour to do the install. For some reason, my bumper cover had hexagonal screws (or whatever they're called, the ones where you need to use a socket wrench) on the bottom, so I had to lie down and take them off. Thing is, I had to do this on my driveway... without a jack. Major pain in the *ss... I was sweating and I got very dirty.

I tried to just do it by popping off the top things, and slipping in to unscrew the stock grill, but that was impossible for me. My arm was too fat, and it was difficult to get the screwdriver in. And with the angle I was at, I couldn't generate enough pushing in force to keep the screwdriver from slipping out. That and I couldn't see what I was doing.

I have no idea how people actually like working on cars, it's a major pain. I'm definately in it for the driving and speed experience.
