to change 98-00 bumper to 01-02 or not

ive got a 2000 coupe and have to replace the front bumper due to my dad back into it with his truck. i was wondering if i should replace it with the 01-02 bumper or keep the 98-00 bumper.

if you're planning on getting a front lip of any kind...get the 98-00. you can always get the OEM lip kit...and if you go aftermarket...i think there are more options.

if not...go with the 01-02 and get the OEM fog lights that fit in the triangles.

It's your call. I think it'll look funky having an 01 - 02 bumper on an 98 - 00 body because they have different sideskirts and a different rear that tuck under the car more. If you got the OEM lip kit then you should definately stick with the 98 - 00.

Yeah if you want options to customize your bumper than stick with the older model, if you like the stock look of the 01-02, then go that route. You can't even replace the grill on the 01-02. Personally Im content with the stock look of the 01-02 bumper.

01-02 bumper > 98-00 lol
01 w/mugen lip > 98 OEM lip

it's more aggressive in my opinion but OEM Lipkit is damn clean. Up to your personal preference, I don't like the plainess of 98bumpers but its ur call

^ Yup! That's what I was about to say. But then again, I love that OEM lip kit the '98-'00 can enjoy.

IMO the 01-02 looks better with the fog light inserts. the 98-00 looks to plain for me

Totally up to you. Both looks clean with any lip kit. Without a lip, the 01-02 looks better IMO.

I prefer the look of the 01-02 models but it is hard to find any kind of lips for them.

^^ Are you getting an OE replacement or like an aftermarket body kit bumper?

Personally I think of all the stock fronts on 6th gens (coupe/sedan)...the 01-02 coupe bumper looks the best. Most agressive out of them all.
