all you need is a small screw driver, and you gently pry off the lense covering the bulb, take out the bulb and put a new one in...

Don't take off the clear piece!! You go from the inside and undue the wires connecting to the clear piece.

The clear piece is not meant to come off due to weather sealing and what not. Go from the inside, trust me!

i changed my license plate bulb into the hyper white LED's like the ones in the new Lexus models. All i did was open the trunk and looked under where it's adjacent to the license plate and stuck my hand in there to remove the bulb and replace it.

Psst... why didn't you just open up your trunk? lol

I think you can remove the lens pretty easily by pushing it to the right, where it just snaps off and comes out.

mine is a coupe.

i wouldnt think i would need to remove the rear bumper to just replace a light bulb in the license plate area. so honda must have made it a bit more easier to replace.
