DIY Black House Headlights.. Pics

Let me tell ya.. this was a time consuming project.. took me from 5pm to 3am.. went to sleep woke up at 7am and finished at about 9am..

but then again i was also doing my friend's RSX headlights as well. definitely would have finished within one day if it was just my headlights

but all in all it was definitely worth it.

Before..

After..

what took up so much time, it should take about 1-2 hours and then letting the paint dry......

we were also working on my friend's RSX black housing which killed some time.
the whole baking process, separating the grey housing and the lens. also the paint process took a lot of time also. and i had a few beers in between everything just added up.

actually i put back in the amber strips.. it's just that i forgot to put the chrome reflector piece that goes in behind the amber strip so it kinda looks like i left only the side in.

and as for tips.. when you bake the headlight, leave it in for about 20-25 mins at 200 F degrees .. because some tell you to put it in for about 10-15 mins at a time, which only loosens it a bit on the first try.. don't worry it doesn't get that hot, just wear some gloves when doing it.

and also when you to try to pry the two pieces apart.. you're going to have to muscle it, don't be afraid, just be confident about it.. and don't break anything
