TL wheels on 6th gen v6 sedan?

As posted, I need to know if some 04 TL wheels would fit on my 99 v6 sedan? I think someone told me that they would stick out, but I need to know, because if they fit, then Im getting some. But I have searched and could not find anything about this, so please let me know. If you have any pics of a 6th gen sedan with tl wheels, please post the pics. Thanks guys.

^^They are 17 by something or another. I like my 18s, but I want to either get the tl 17's if they fit or the 17" tsx wheels. Do you know if the tl's would fit or not? thanks.

the 04 TL are 17 x 8 and they will stick out a little bit. they will also rub the back bumper too. do a search for it and you should be able to find a thread on 04 TL rims on 6th gen accords.

What are the keywords? I searched for Tl wheels already and didnt find anything. Why would they rub the rear bumper and how far stick out do you mean by a little bit?

Broken Angel has the tsx wheels on his coupe, Lxcord has the tsx wheels on his sedan, so I guess those may work just fine. Do you know? Thanks.

So that sounds like what I need to do then. Do you have any pics of your 03 tl wheels on your car? Thanks.

I remember talking to you about this too
Still have some of the pics you sent me

My thoughts, they look prety nice, better if your car has a lip kit and drop but they stick out too much and its not safe to machine the wheel to lower its offset (already inquired).

^^Why are you using such wide tires? I talked to someone who works at a wheel and tire place and he asked what size tires you were using on the tl wheels, and he said that that tire size is un-necessary. Thanks.

Three things:

First, i'm not using such wide tires because I sold that set a long time ago,

Second, those are stock tires that come on the TL 235/40/17

Third, the wheels offset and width will not change with a different size tire, it still sticks out just as much, only now the tire wraps around it more and changes the angle of the sidewall thus increasing the distance the fender needs to drop (albeit very little) in order to rub on it, not going to mention the contact patch since it rubs on the sidewall.

^^No man, Sorry to confuse you, I meant to ask typeraccord01 why he was using such tires. Sorry about the confusion.

Edit: So the 235's come stock on the tl's. I could just use some 215's or 225's.

Eh, i'm suprised hes still using them. They had great traction and all but honestly they are too heavy and wide for the J30A1 to spin around

So do you think Id be ok with the 215's or 225's and not rub? My friend who works at the wheel and tire place says that should be fine. Thanks.

those 6th gen's with TL wheels posted above look soooo high up

here's some pics of other acura wheels chopped onto my car.

i've already sent them to a99blackaccord, but i thought other might like to see.

2005 TL wheels

2005 TSX wheels

2007 TSX wheels

2007 TL-S wheels

the 05 TL wheels are definitely my favorite (first pic) with the 05 TSX coming in a distant second.

the finish on the other two just doesn't work with the 6th gen.

so, where do i find 4 lug TL wheels?
