Exclamation Service Engine Soon light "SRS?"

Recently I get a flashing Service Engine Soon light that flashes about 6 times the minute I start my car and then goes off. Anyone have any clue what this might be or is there someone I can take it to that won't charge me a ton like Honda probably will? Its been going on for about a week now and I think I should get the car looked at, but I have a feeling I will get charged $80 an hour for Honda to take a look at it and possibly get it just reset....

Yeah some guy mentioned that to me that it might be a sign of the tranny saying an early goodbye. Will an OBDII scanner be able to pull that code and what is casing it?

There is not such light as Service Engine Soon, but there are Check Engine and Maintenance Required lights.
Check engine light (CEL) indicates that you might have emission related problem.
Maintenance required light is nothing else but just a service reminder, it will start flashing after 6000ml and will stay on after 7500ml. if you search this website you will find how to turn it off.

There is SRS light and it stands for Supplemental Restraining System (airbag system). When this light is on it indicates that there is problem with SRS system and it turned itself off.

I think you may be talkinga bout the Maintenance Required Light. You can reset it by doing this:

1) Turn they key to the II position
2) Turn the key to the off position, and push and hold in the odometer reset button
3) Turn they key back to the II position, while still holding the button.
4) After about 10-15 seconds, the light should go off.

It should reset and stay off. Hope that helped.
