New transmission is emitting smoke?

The dealership replaced the transmission on my 2000 Accord V6 coupe the other day. I noticed today on the drive home after I let it warm up, and was a little aggressive on the throttle that slight smoke started coming out where the E-brake is? It kind of worried me, but then I thought that it was just the new tranny "breaking in". Also, I let the car idle for a while when I got back to my house and when I turned it off, smoke started coming out from underneath the car.

Is this normal for a new transmission?

PS.. after 20 mins when I drove it around again there was a bit of fluid underneath the car. I don't know if this is some kind of an oil leak or what, but it's kinda freaking me out. I'm gonna bring it to my service shop first thing and get them to inspect the car and get it a tune up.

what does the smoke smell like? like burning clutch? or it could be just some spilled tranny fliud burning off. What color is the oil leak? if it's red/magenta it's tranny fliud.

Now the tranny is starting to shift odd. It was fine on my drive home from the dealer, but now it's making this odd bumping sound that sounds like its coming from the transmission after a downshift. And from a stop, when I press on the gas, the RPMs will rev up but the car wont move.. like it'll hesistate and then jerk. This transmission definitely could not have been replaced.

*UPDATE*

Apparently the smoke is coming from UNDERNEATH the car, and the right side of the engine.. and I know the coolant reservoir is by the left side, so I think this is tranny fluid leaking. It ran fine on the highway; however, I think there is some kind of a leak on the car. With all that smoke, I really hope I didnt do any permanent damage to the transmission. It was JUST rebuilt.

Nah, it's covered under a warranty that I got from the dealership.. and they are getting a rebuild on it at Cottmann Transmission.. for FREE. Apparently one of the axles broke. Dumbasses.

Dealership warranties should be giving you a REPLACEMENT, not a rebuild =)
