Tanabe NF210 springs...paint is chipping off

bought it on August 1, 2007 and now the paint is chipping off



wd40 on it




the other side

paint is chipping off and starting to rust. is this normal?

Damn, I wouldnt expect to see that after only one year. I had some shi**y springs on my civic for like 2-3 years and they looked nothing like that.

even my 8 year old stock springs looks alot better than that

does it snow alot at your place? whether plays a big role in how fast things wear. Also its possible that when your springs were installed, maybe when they clamped the springs down that they chiped some paint off resulting in weathered damage after rain, snow etc..
