Tire Size Choice

What tire size do you think? 225/45/18 or 235/40/18

you're not exactly giving us any useful info...

with 18s, you want to stick with 40 series.

how wide are your wheels?

they are katana zr5 hyper-black wheels, 18x7.5 right now i have 225x40x18 on them and i need to replace them. i am worried that 235s may be too wide. i have not been on here in quite some time. i remember that 235s on the tl wheels were too big, but it may be cool with a 235x40. i am just worried with using a 40 series tire again. thats why i am looking for ideas.

Dont run 235/40/18. The tires generally cost significantly more than 225/40/18, and the max you should mount to a 7.5" wheel is 225/40/18.

Get some new 225/40/18's as you have now, or 215/40/18 would work if theyre significantly cheaper, they sometimes can be.

if you do a tire/wheel calculation. 225/40/18 is ~2% smaller than stock. 225/45/18 is ~1% larger than stock. 235/40/18 is ~1% smaller than stock. i dont want to run 225/40/18. i just wanted to see what people thought between 225/45/18 (which cost a little more) vs 235/40/18
