rubbing on the inside of fender

so i jacked my car to check my axle and i noticed that my wheel is rubbing the inside where there's this metal tab sticking out. i searched threads about people rolling/cutting their fenders, but no one talks about this. my question is if it is okay to cut that metal tab off.

What are your wheel specs? I'm pretty low and I don't have that problem.

17x7 +50. Well the fender lining is plastic, but it covers this part that is metal. I guess you can't really see from the pic I took but it's on the right side where the whiteish part is.

Oh I see what you're saying. I don't think mine is doing that. Do you have a camber kit or camber issues? I actually don't even remember seeing that tab on my car.

that is weird. 17x7 et 50 shouldnt do that.

i had 18x8 et 50 with no rubbing there.

are any of your suspension components worn?

i don't have a camber kit in the front. running about -1.6 in the front.

im only seeing fender liner...



17x7 +50 should rub at all. im 18x7.5 +48..two mm different in offset but 2.5in greater on each side of the rim.

i uploaded another pic, i don't know if its better, but the area where i circled, the fender liner has a slit where the metal tab is. its under the fender liner.

I dont know why you would by rubbing...maybe its the tire size...how big are they?

i noticed my car rubbed in the same spot. i dont know which wheels did it but i dont think its my current ones.
