my delema

Okay, so I've decided to invest in some inexpensive 17's cause I'm sick of my stock wheels and I don't have a lot of money. I found two sets for decent prices. Both are Motegi and both are from members on 6thgenaccord.com

the first set: Motegi MR3 17x7 Offset 40 Dual Fitment 4x100/4x114.3

two rims have bends in them but they still hold air fine. they don't come with any tires.

Plans if I buy these: have them sanded and powder coated gold and buy tires for them of course.
Price: $250 shipped to my door+powder coating and tires

Second set:Motegi mr7 17'' gunmetal wheels dunno the exact dimensions of these ones as I just started talking to the seller today.

wheels have 70-80% tred still according to seller, and he says there's only minor scuffs that are only noticeable up close.

plans if I buy these: throw them on my car and call it a day
Price: $500 picked up and its only like 2 hours away at most.

what do you think the better deal is here. Constructive posts only please I don't care if you think they are ugly, or too "played" out. I just wanna know what you guys think is the better deal

I have a 98 sedan in nighthawk black pearl dropped on s-techs btw.
thanks

ya but that also means $500 out my bank all at once. But I think it may also save me money in the long run. which is why I can't decide lol

so here would be a rough cost brake down

$200 for wheels
$325 for cheap tires $400+ likely
$80x4 for powder coating per wheel $100+x4 likely

on the low side you would be at $845.00 (before tax )
odds are better that it would be closer to 1100 plus tax tire disposal and valve stems.

i would go with the second option if you are looking to save some cash but if you are going for looks save up and spend 750 on wheels and 400 on tires.

Like nixed007 pointed out, 2nd set is better choice cost wise.

Honestly, I recommend you save your money right now. Keep looking for another set that you really like and matches your theme -- if you are going for a theme.

I know you really want to swap wheels, but pick the right one for you. Once you buy a set and put them on...it's a done deal.

i think that gunmetal would blend in more with your car rather then gold, but if money matters why not buy the cheaper set and paint it gunmetal

I've come to really like the mr7's (gunmetal ones) and talked to the seller and his willing to hold them as long as I need to get the money together, which is more difficult now cause I have to pay a fine for my exhaust now.

As far as looks I prefer the second set.

As far as pricing, what is powder coating and tires going to run for the first pair?

If it ends up a lot more than $500, I'd go with the second set.
