THE OFFICIAL 6th GEN "WILL IT FIT?" Thread

Yeah, since our PM inboxes can't keep up with the upkeep of newbie wheel/offset questions, it seemed like the best choice of action.

Ask away. Me, doctorx, keychain, blackdeathcgv6, or any knowledgeable goober face will answer your silly offset wheel questions here.

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD CLEAN. Mods will clean it up, if thread deviates. kthx.

Oh and other references/information/pictures:

Oh.. this thread is only for 6th gen accords, but using Tim's as a reference.. do you want to fit 18x9 all around? 18x9.. Do you want to run stretched tire and negative camber?

It'll fit with the +28 definitely. The +15 MIGHT be a small problem if you haven't done a lot of fender work in the front. You can fit a 235/40 for the front with the +28, no problem.

The rear's will fit with a +15 or a +28. With the +15, you need to run 225/40 and with -2 to -2.5 camber. With the +28, you will be able to run a 235/40 with -2 ish camber OR run 225/40 with more positive camber.

Will a lot of work be needed to fit 18X9 +35 for the rear on a sedan?

Yes. You'll need about -3 degrees of camber, roll the rear fenders, shave down the rear bumper, cut off the bumper tab, and relocate the bumper screw about two inches further back.

Fool! I know enough about wheel fitment, it's just a matter of funds. Nobody wants to buy my wheels too.

i know this is a 6th gen coupe thread, although it doesn't state that on the thread title. Anyway, maybe someone can answer this question....

recently purchased 18x9.5 +45(front) and 18x9.5 +38(rears) wheels. Will be slapping on some 225/40 profile tires. Which tires do you recommend that are strong and "stretchable" enough to handle the 18x9.5 wheels???
