What is the best sounding exhaust?

I am considering getting an exhaust for my 2002 honda accord ex v6 coupe. I want one that would sound the closest to a v8 mustang gt with that deep throaty sound. Some say that a 6 cylinder cannot sound this way. I don't want any that sound like a motorcycle or "ricy". I have heard great things about Borla, Comptech, and Magnaflow. Also will this modification void the warranty? Any information would be very helpful.

I've got Greddy evos and an AEM V2, the two produce an interesting sound throughout the powerband. First off, the Greddy is very quiet. My Intake makes more noise after vtec kicks in. Below that, it makes a very deep sporty sound, almost similar to some italian sports cars. My advice is to get the Intake first. Doing that will let you enjoy the sound of a growly intake noise before you get exhaust.

The intake honk from my car is really boomy and resonates through the cabin as well as outside right at 3,500 until 4,500rpms but then no longer growls. Sounds really sweet, actually V8-like between those RPMs, especially going under a tunnel, but then dies into a whiney howl (F1 car, but not as intense or frantic)

Exhaust-wise, our cars have equal-length exhaust headers which prevents exhaust gas pulses from colliding into one another. Our exhaust will always have a smooth raspy tone and never like a GM V6 which rumbles at idle.

IMHO, my ideal exhaust setup would be Headers+Y-pipe->stock cat->2.25" inlet/outlet center cut Dynomax Super Turbo Chambered muffler->2.25" piping->any generic straight through muffler->blacked out 2.5" split "y" into chromed or stainless steel 4" tips.

That way the mufflers wouldn't be showing and it looks as though all you did was cut off the factory mufflers and just be as loud as running two straight through mufflers :D

I suggest the Flowmaster Muffler that is designed for the V6 Camaro. It's those sideways kinds with one inlet and dual outlet. I think it'll look and sound sweet on our cars. Another reason why will never get that throaty sound from a v6 is our VTEC-E camshafts. Below VTEC our cam lobes aren't aggresssive or tuned for power at all. Most domestic v6's have a fairly large intake lobe, even at idle, hence the growly noise....

i have magnaflows and i love my sound! Sounds like a G35 coupe but louder!
Uhh...I heard a couple G35 and 350Z with exhaust...they sound like buzzing civics.

as for best exhaust...that's personal preference. I have a Dual Greddy MX exhaust and I love it...of course its for sale along with the rest of the goodies from the car and the car itself. If you want the V8 rumbling sound, either spend the money to drop a v8 in your accord or like someone said, get a domestic.
