Question 07 accord ex non-navi to navi

its been so long since i've been on this forum. anyways, my friend gave me his navi from his 06 accord sedan because he is getting rid of his car. i was wondering do i need to customize any harness or is it just plug and play. it is from a 06 accord ex i4 and i have a 07 accord ex v6

navi i believe is dual climate control. is yours the same? if not you need a harness that can be bought on ebay to make it work. also a couple more parts, the upper display, antenna and dvd player.

Yeah it's dual climate. Mines is too. I have the upper display, antenna and DVD player all I need is the harness that goes from the navi to the upper display and the harness that goes from the navi to the DVD.

There is a guy on eBay that sells the harness. Acurahondatech is his name I think. That is where I got mine from.

Money for the navigation system or a good friend like accordcoupe7's friend.

I'm not a baller so i'll stick to my smartphone for navigation. lol

It's not the easiest install, and the harness fits just right. So have to follow instructions to the tee because there isn't much wiggle room. I took out the rear seat completely, the pass rear panel to easily run the harness to the DVD player in the back. Again wasn't the easiest thing but the outcome was really nice.

Lol smart phone vs navi? Hmmm tough choice. Lol I'm ok. You just have to save up a lot of money to get this project going.

Ok I'm having this issue that the screen doesn't turn on. I was thinking that maybe I didn't plug one of the harness good. But when I checked, Everything is fine. Any ideas?

You need the radio and navi codes. Have to call Honda and get them.

I have both codes. The radio does turn on. It is just the screen. I'll have to recheck my wiring.

That was my same issue and I didn't put the navi code in. Once I did it all turned on. I could be wrong. Wish the best with it.
