OEM Replica Lip Quality?

Hey guys,

I know some of you have purchased the rep lip on eBay. I'm wondering how it's lasted (especially for those lowered). I know it's made of fiberglass.

The one I got was made out of resoflex plastic, dude I sold it too still riding around on it and I've heard from others that its ok as far as fitment/and durability.

I daily scrape mine and its been holding up just fine. And yes, fitment is pretty spot on. If I break it, I won't feel that bad because I didn't pay $400 for a lip.

Z - which seller did you go with? I know there are multiple sellers and it seems some are selling slightly better quality lips than others.

I had bought mine from isellaeroparts or something to that effect. It's been about 6 months. I can try and look at my old Ebay transactions to verify.

I was wondering how these lips fit. I want to get the rear HFP because they discontinued the OEM one. Ive had a WTB on here for months and no one is selling one, may as well get this and have it painted looking new. Good to see everyone is happy with fitment. Hopefully the back will fit as good as everyones front lips.

Is this to me?

I actually found an OEM lip painted my color last week, so I had to snatch that up.

The replica lip should be here on Thursday. I will make some comparisons and take some pics for you guys.

sounds good man. I am interested in a lip. I was thinking about just wrapping it with gloss black vinyl instead of painting it. lol

I actually just received the eBay lip. The quality seems good, very stiff compared to OEM because its obviously fiberglass. Fitment pics coming soon. I thinking wrapping it would also help it from cracking, or at least hold it together if it does crack.

Can they do wraps in the color of your car?

please post which ebay vendor you bought from. there are 2 guys selling them. some of their ebay feedback say the lips are very poor fitment.

Here is the lip.
Item: 2006 07 HONDA ACCORD SEDAN OEM HFP STYLE FRONT LIP BODY KIT
Seller: isell_aeroparts

It's pretty stiff (fiberglass), so I wouldn't go around bottoming out with this on lol.

Middle Bumper, Closer to Passenger Side:

Driver Side:

Middle Bumper Closer to Driver Side: Where it is scratching the bumper is where you would have to dremel or file down to achieve a better fit.

Sorry if pics are flipped, they uploaded that way don't know why.

I would say fitment is probably close to 95% because the current way it was just resting on the car, you can push it onto the bumper and get it to fit better without cutting the lip at all. To achieve a 99% fitment, you'd need to file down maybe a centimeter or two where I commented and then with some force and some doublesided tape you would have really good fitment.

The lip itself looks home made, it's not perfect but for $140 it's not bad. I have an OEM lip so I think I'll be getting rid of the rep for now since I no longer need it. Shipping took 5 business days from Canada to NYC.

Seller responded to my emails (2 days or so for response).

I find it hard to believe it was recent.

Edit-I just checked and it appears they have SSM, DGP, DMM, EBP, NBP, RR and TW. I haven't tried putting one in the cart and checking out though.

^That seems odd, they only had a few left when I got mine and the only color available was Noble Green Pearl. ****, if it's true, people better hop on it.
