Painting Stock mufflers

Removed my driver muffler. Looking to actually paint it silver, both of em. I know it comes from factory black with the chrome tips, id like to paint both mufflers a silver so that the pand are noticeable from the rear. Not sure how it'll look but I'd figure why not, and if I don't like it I'll just paint them black again. Any recommendation as far as paint? Any pics?

Seems like a lot of work and the results might not be worth all the trouble but post pics if you do it. I've never seen one painted.

Haha that's what I'm thinking unfortunately. I'm just going to shoot the mufflers with a pressure cleaner before hand. Not too sure how the silver will look with the chrime tips, it also has a chance of looking awkward from the side where the bottom of the mufflers are exposed

Rough the hell out of them, then shoot them with heat resistant paint.

Color match the tips. The rear of the muffler is black so it matches the under body of the car.

Just redid mine in flat black (high temp paint, of course), my car is debadged so repainting the mufflers black tends to hide them...which was my intention. Plus in some light they are visible and look a lot better now.

I'll probably end up going to black too, just want to see how it would look silver, might also look awkward because the actual tip of the muffler isn't in the same line/angle as the actual muffler. I bought some 100 grit and silver exhaust paint made by VHT (crappy brand IMO) now I just need time and I'll let you guys know how it goes
