My New Shift Knob. ~Video Added~ ~height shortened~

got bored today so took off the nasty stock V6 Ex shift lever. all i need to do is trim it down a bit so it sits lower... no pushing down or anything and no the key doesn't get stuck. just have to make sure whatever jack off rides with you doesn't reach over and try to slap you into neutral but go to far and throw you into park or reverse. in total i spent 20 bucks and didn't cut or break anything to do it so its completely reversible lol. it won't be however if i trim the shaft down.

if anyone wants a DIY just let me know and i could always go make one

i like it much better now that i shortened it.

this mod was very spur of the moment so i just used what i had at the shop

i used this knob

and this boot

it could stand to be shortened up a pretty good chunk but I'm tempted to leave it so when i trade it in i can slap it back to stock real quick

Were you able to get a DIY done? My shift knob doesn't look like it can be just unscrewed. I will keep researching though. Thanks!

My biggest deciding factor was weight. It may not seem important on an auto but I like the way it feels when banging through the gears from first to d

Isn't this a bit dangerous? You can accidentally throw your car in reverse while still moving.
