Part 2 Sherpa's Widebody Sedan

Alright, time for the widebody build I been saving for to begin. I will not tell too much about the build except for that I believe it will be one of the first widebody build 7th gen sedans. Dean is the only other member on here than I know that is building a widebody 7th gen sedan as well and he is working on it right now . In this thread I will let my photos do the talking.

VIP MODULARS 19x12 -20 all around on hankook 225/40
obabyizdean and HEcreated487 like this.

needs more tire for a better bead, in my opinion.

I could see a couple inches of fender flare with that. Should look pretty smooth.

^^ haha true true. I promise it will look better in time.

Wheelman, thanks man. I still cant believe they were able to fit 225/40 on those wheels. I told them to give the tires a stretch but wow.

Interesting. Any chance you have pix of the wheel/tire combo off the car? Interested to see the appearance of the overall tread width without the fenders covering it.

i don't get how the tire isn't way more stretched than it is. 225 on a 12 is an insane stretch.

I promise it will be clean I still want it to be functional, no crazy camber that I have to change tires every other month.

True, VIP style is not for everyone, I have tired the extreme race car look with everything gutted out, bucket seats, etc. I even measured everything I took out Now its time to try something more comfortable and luxurious.

I don't see why you're going so wide but still have to stretch tires. if you're going to do a wide body or over fenders, you might as well properly fit the right tire.

Don't worry that's coming, plans are set for this spring for twin turbo build so definitely happening, will probably have another thread dedicated to twin turbo build. I probably will be doing a lot of driving from new york to virginia.

I've been waiting on that TT build for what seems like years now.

I'm curious to see how this widebody build turns out. I'll reserve judgement until I see the end result.

I know man I know. In a way im glad twin turbo is coming together now, because back then we didnt have hondata, and now we got data thanks to guys on acurazine on our engines with turbos and how much the manual transmissions can handle. Im a believer in all things happen for a reason.

Just for a teaser here is some pics of my car when I had my universal glass flares on, when I was deciding between fiberglass or metal widebody.

Appreciate the feedback

However, the stretched tires, widebody work, air ride all part of the vip style that I am going for this car now. I've been on the one extreme of gutting my accord and those days are over, liking comfort and stance soo much more these days.

^^True true. When I first heard the tires they put on the vip modulars I was like woah. I gotta see it in person though. For those of u that dont know my volk TE37 were 19x9.5 225/35 and 19x10.5 235/35. These vip modulars 19x12 are running 225/40 all around.

Waiting to see final results. You should look into upgraded wheel bearing tho. Stock bearings weren't design to support offsets that low. The reduce tire surface area on the stretch tires does help also. How's the steering? I can feel the difference when I add a 5mm spacer. Harder to turn the steering wheel.
