Talking 03 Accord: Dean's Widebody Build

This is going to be updated frequently with my widebody build progress. Under major construction at this point. All of the work you see on the car is being done by me, myself, and I. I am not a professional body man of any sort. I picked up everything from youtube videos and a bunch oof practice.

This is what my car looked like prior to all of the madness:

Fixing my dents and shaving the side door mouldings:

Painted the whole car myself:

Got accepted into my very first car show: Wekfest 2015 so I decided to go wide and flare the rears:

Got bummed out that they skipped my car and didnt judge me so I came home and chopped it all up:

Extended it out an extra 2 inches on top of the previous flare:

Started playing with materials to get a feel for the look I wanted:

Got right to work with welding round bars to get the structure going.

Picked up some metal at the metal shop and started cutting and welding.

Made the flare a bit wider than I expected lol. Went and bought new lips for the rears wheels and re-lipped them myself from:
18x10+4 to 18x12.5-19 7inch rear lips

Test fitting action:

Fiberglassed the back bumper flare:

Pic to show how wide the wheels are from the stock body:

Extended door jams:

Went a re-lipped the front wheels from:
18x9+12 to 18x11-12

Decided to mix things up a bit with the rear lip. Fused the 06-07 HFP coupe lip with the mugen rear lip.

Chopped up the front fenders:

Taped it up to see what kind of flare I'm looking to get:

Custom fender vents? I think so.

Awesome job so far! Major props, I'd never have the balls to attempt this myself with no training.

Quick update:

Didnt like how honda designed the lower corner of the back door with a 90 degree cut. I decided to round the corner off and raise the side skirt. Similar concept to the tl and tsx

"Well, looks like they don't make a car that's exactly what I want, but this is close enough, might as well make my own."

This is crazy man! Totally in for updates! Can't wait to see what this looks like.
