what kind of shift knob for EX-L

It's a really odd knob. I don't like the look of the stock one. Honda says none of their other knobs are compatible. What's up with this? What knob can I get to replace it? I really like the Momo air leather.

honda's other knobs will fit. they are all the same thread pitch.

don't get a momo; they have set screws instead of using the threads.

How do you remove the knob? The leather boot is wrapped around the base. It's not just a pole sticking out like the others.

Does the plastic piece come off the stock shifter? Because without it, any knob looks ghetto since the boot won't be attached.
