painting engine block

i was thinking of ways to improve the looks under the hood. ive seen the TL engine cover idea, but wasnt too convinced that was the answer. then i thought about the possibility of painting the dull looking engine block. anybody know if this is a possibility, or anybody tried this with highly heat resistant paint? i did a few searches but didnt come up with anything

i'd rather powdercoat the tl cover black than to paint the engine block.

Thats doable. but you would have to use like ultra high heat paint. I know www.tasauto.com sells 6th gen valve covers that are painted Blue, So Im Sure that you could get your IM Or Valve Covers painted...probably...

nice... this even been tried before? think it would look good to 2tone it red/black to match the rest of the engine (already have red engine coils and red/black injen intake)

I have the TL cover, along with the silver v6p grounding kit. I painted the cover, fuse cover, and terminals pearl burgundy. Looks really nice =D

you mean the intake plenum? i dont think you can see much of the engine block from looking under the hood...

yes im talking about the cast iron intake area, just used the term "block" so most people would know what i was referring to
