Amp Mounting (No clue where to do it)

Hey guys, i recently just put 2 amps in my accord coupe. I had some major problems with mounting them. They dont seem to fit anywhere, so i just put some heavy duty velcrow with adehesive on the bottom of the amps and put them as far back in the trunk as possible, the subs sit infront of them. Sorry i dont have any pics. Does any one know of any good spots i might have missed, No BACK SEAT MOUNTING, i dont like how it looks, besides they probably dont fit on them either. I was actually thinking of putting some shelves together and carpet them and then use those, any one got oppinions? I also have xbox in there so i need a spot for that aswell. Also if i were to put in the shelves i wouldnt be able to screw into the floor of the trunk but how about the side walls? Ive been drawing up some things and i think it would look best if i mounted the back of the shelves to the walls of the trunk then the front of the shelves would have legs, maybe some sorta slant on the shelves. thanx guys

i have mine on my seatback but if you dont like it you will have to do a custom setup and since you are leaving your spare in, you can kiss your truck space bye bye, but look around at some pics in the meantime, b.c im sure your not the only one with the dilemma

How about a wedge that backs up to the back seat and the amps mounted to that?

It might not be such a good idea to mount it to the box. The amp will get messed up most likely. I like what graphit28 did, will that work for both sides? cause i have to mount 2 amps. Also im assuming you used screws for the mounting of the amp wall to the car right? if i were to do it to the other side like that will i hit the gas line leading to the tank?

I actually used plumber's strap that's screwed into the car, and then into the board. That way, I can actually lift up the amp, so it's like it's on hinges.

As for mounting the amp to the sub box, I didn't like that because I remove my sub box when I go camping, skiing etc. And if the amp was on there, then I'd have to remove all the power wires, ground, remote which would could cause a shock. I'd be too lazy to remove the fuse. WIth the amp separate, all I have to do is remove the quick release speaker wires which I installed on my custom box.

mines mounted to the box without any big problems so far, well except possibility of theft. but im debating whether or not i should put it in the backseat, but if i do then ill block out the ski opening which i open up in the summer to give the amp some ventilation room

^^ thats why i got a single box for each of my 12's. if i need room, i take one out, without losing all my bass. if i need all the trunk space, which i havent yet, i can take em both out.

well i have 3 jl 10" subs in the custom jl box and 2 amps phoenix gold amps that are both bigger then 1 foot long and about 1 foot wide. so i think im gonna build a little shelf to sit above the subs. It looks like it will work if i just screw into the trunk sideing will it fall out? or will i drill into anything, considering i have enough room with out actually drilling out the other side, but will i hit any gas lines leading to the trunk u know on the left side, cause the gas cap is right there.?

Ok i did it! i mounted the four channel amp to the top of the trunk, i used 3 inch screws with spacers to "hang" the amp nice and tight, it was hard because i had to find the right spots to drill the holes, alot of **** moves up there so u have to watch out u have clearence, for the sub amp i mounted it on the left side of the trunk right under the tail light compartment, and i wired through the tail liight to make it look neat. ill have pics as soon i can find my camera.
