hah. so i call up the stealership today, and they said that the nuts and bolts for the front lip will cost me a total of 106. Approximately 5-7 $ a screw, nut and bolt/clip.

hmmm i think a trip down to home depot maybe necessary in order to get these parts....

hahaha no kidding its a ripoff, i was about to ask the guy very seriously what their profit margin was on a 7 cent screw that they are selling for $ 6.25. if im doing the math correctly assuming a 10% overhead i would guess )(&@*$*^@*^%*)&& a crapload.

i got the lip from somone else, who didnt keep the screws. i got the flange bolts that are needed, just not the screws and the square clips that the screws screw into.

haha yeah i think im going to try and get specs on those and buy them from home depot.

hahahhahah so thats how they make all their money. selling $ 6.25 screws..

all hail curry honda

so since balise honda wasnt really helpful i called up curry honda,
the guy said the exact same thing 106, but then gave me this helpful hint
go to your local hardware store.

so i was like yeah i can do that but i dont know sizes, and hes like no problem sir i have them right here for you. balise guy was like sorry sir honda doesnt give those out, and since i dont have any of those pieces here i cant measure them for you either.

anyway the 4 spring nuts that i need (inside wheelwell) are 5 mm, and the 4 screws i need at 5 mm by 20 mm.

also, balise honda told me that they would charge me 104 to look up my antitheft radio code ....curry honda said they would be good enough to try and bring up the codes for free on my screen, instead of pulling my radio out.

hehe i love curry honda parts and service dept, they got leather couches in there ....and they always give me a 6th gen accord as a loaner when my car in for stuff there

though im still ticked of at the financing trick they pulled on me...
