Are you sure? They say audio and controls...nothing about charging. The dension unit allows for charging and also includes a cradle. Dension also sells a nice vehicle mount for our car which places it raised around the shifter. Hopefully I'll be getting the icelink plus soon.

I don't think you need an icelink AND an aux input adapter...icelink does it all.

when you buy the icelink from dension, part of it is the Soundgate unit. You can buy the "icelink" seperate for like $99, or so.

Icelink plugs into ipod and outputs in RCA (for audio) and a data bus port (for control and text).
Soundgate (equivalent) converts both to aux input plug.

i got nav in my car, so ur sayin all i need is to buy da ICELINK from dension, and would i have to do some special wire splitting since my car has navi?

i dont have any problem w/ da FM mobulator i bought (iCarPlay) sound quality aint bad its jus not as good as CD obviously but i can live w/ it. My plan is to get iPod hardwired in car good if i gonna keep my accord for some time

you need to order the icelink without the adapter (They have a different price for that).
Separately order from www.logjamelectronics.com the blitzsafe adapter.
Same deal as the Soundgate essentially, but it's split for two inputs.

I'm a little confused by all the iPod stuff I've read on here. I'm not exactly sure what I should get to hook an iPod up, so I'm hoping to get a clear view of exactly what I need from you folks.

I have an 04 w/ Navi and I want to still be able to use my XM. Is there a hook up out there that will allow me to use my steering wheel controls AND display the song info on either the Navi screen OR a seperate screen that I can mount in sight so that I can put the iPod itself in the center console?

I don't think the dension gives you a display... Monster's iCruze does, as an option, however it is not yet available for our 7th gens.

They don't seem to have an input for 7thGen yet though.

So far, the word is that the headunit software doesn't support text display. Somehow the XM is an exception (don't ask me why). I don't know whether that applies to the Navi display headunit as well though.
