tinted taillight srip & painted emblems today *pics*

I went to Wal-Mart this afternoon and bought some window tint. The 20% looked too dark so I got the 35%. I also painted my H emblems black. Not sure if I like it or not. I was just trying t git rid of all the chrome. I removed the Accord and V6 badges last week. what do you guys think?

I just pryed the emblem off with my drivers license. There is a little strip if 2 sided foam tape at the top. I used this paint made for plastic. I might go over it with a can of clear coat tomorrow. I wish they made the black chrome emblems for our cars like they do for the 6th gen.

Good idea. I will try that tomorrow. I tried to get the front emblem off but it felt like it was going to break. Anyone know how it comes off? I want to paint the grill silver like my car. I saw a car on here that had it done and it looks slick.

I used a hair dryer to heat up the emblems and they come right off. I used some WD-40 to get the tape off then I waxed the area. The H is a little dull right now. I'm going to wet sand then put a clear coat on it.

I painted both my emblems year and a half ago and the paint hasn't chipped or faded. I used a metal flake black paint. The front i used clear coat and the back i didn't.
Here's a pic of the front emblem that i took, one week after getting it painted. Still look like that now. Matches with the wing grille.

Do you think that would good on a black car? I was also thinking maybe a dark metallic red on both symbols.

That might look good too. Paint is cheap. Buy a few different colors and test it out. I ended up sanding my emblems with 400 grit then put a few coats of primer then painted and cleared. I will post final pics later.
