Decklip spoiler, replicas?

anyone know of any company making replica parts for our car in regards to decklid spoilers or any cosmetic mod? those OEM parts are just ridiculously expensive!!!! $200+ for a small piece of plastic spoiler...

decklid does not have LED, i'm talk'n about the FLAT one...but if you want the oem version one, i'd go oem , deck lid is a small slab of plastic.

I bought one on e-bay. It came painted and with a LED. Paid less than $150.
The only differences are the following.
Spoiler did not say "ACCORD" like the OEM, not like you can really see it.

SPolier was installed using self threading hex screws. The screws go from under the lid and screw into the reinforced material shaft in the spoiler. The OEM uses bolts instead.

The aftermarket did not come with stronger trunk springs. But you really don't need them, the trunk still opens, but the trunk does not fly open withouth the stronger springs due to a heavier trunk. It depends what your preference is.

The LED light wire has to be wired instead of it being plugged in the wire harness.

Spoiler is made out of plastic just like OEM

Surprisingly the color matches and so do the marked holes on the trunk.

Overall I was very satisified, but there are many people selling the spoilers on e-bay and they may not have the same aftermarket quality. (SO be very careful when buying cause the holes could be different and the material could be fiberglass depending on the maker of the aftermarket spoiler)

you still have to drill holes i presume? how difficult was wiring? you have any issues with then sealing the holes back?

so the trunk doesnt fly open meaning? it doest pop when you hit the trunk key? you now have to pop it and use your hand simaltaneously to prevent it from closing on its self?

Hey, no need for name calling. The originator of this thread did ask, "decklid spoilers or any cosmetic mod? "

Well, there isn't an aftermarket 2 dr deck lid that I am aware of. There is an afetermarket regular spoiler for 2dr, afetermarket regular spoiler for 4dr, and an afetermarket lip (deck lid) for 4dr.

Yes you still drill the same amount of holes (regular spoiler 4 holes). Wiring was not difficult.
I didn't have an issue with sealing the holes since the spoiler comes with a foam that was already insalled on spoiler. Now the trunk without the stronger springs opens about 2-3 inches when it is unlocked. I grab the trunk and swing it up (it does ot weight much). Once it is fully open, it stays open and does not close by itself. I did touch up the holes with paint and I did add some kind of sealant to the holes on the underside of the trunk for extra protection.

I also just purchased an aftermarket spoiler like baldo from an ebay auction from www.spoilerdepot.com. He pretty much nailed everything right, installation only took 30 minutes. The spoiler uses the pre-marked holes in the trunk lid which are reinforced. And yes, the paint does match really good. Only thing is that shipping takes like 3-4 weeks. Spoiler depot is located in Florida.

the spoiler? no, cos i wasnt in the market at that time. i was purely looking for the lip kit. which in the end cost me 475 shipped from the sides and the rear. i got the front from jdmitr for 100. so total lip kit 575

im still debating lip, or spoiler..since seeing lil tanes car makes me think the spoiler makes car look hot.

i'm not a big fan of spoilers in general, i just like parts that are molded and form fitting to the car to give that SLEEK clean look.

OwAce, go with the deck lid man. It is sooo hot! Check out flyvtec and Sick6speed, they have the lip. It's just an all-out subtle-looking spoiler. It give the rear the perfect balance IMO.
