I didnt remove the bumper to take off the grill H wing. I just popped my hand in between and blindedly(sp?) wedged a phillips head and turned it. i got the 2 screws loose and the thing came off, but now looking at what it looks like without the H wing grill, it will be going right back on!

It's original, but I like it with the H in there.

I have thought of putting the smaller "H" I took off the trunk in front of the mini grill. My main goal was to remove the thick plastic plug behind the orginal "H." It's really hot here in Phoenix and the extra cooling is desireable. I have gone back and forth as to whether I like my choice of grill material and may do something different yet. I did paint the grill to match the car and clear coated the crap out of it. One other idea I was toying with was to fassion a mini ram air scoop behind this opening and feed it into the intake system. There are issues with doing that but the thought seemed interesting. It took a steady hand to dremel this out without damaging the black chrome ring but I confess I really hated the huge front "H," and I haven't regreted doing it.

graphite pearl owners have it matched already, i think it looks ugly without anything there.....we need a good replacement, cause the wings suck, but without the h there, the hole looks stupid.

Tell me how you really feel! That's ok, I like it. Not sure what you talking about with the "already matched" bit. The "wing" on the Hybrid is black chrome. What I color matched was the grill material. I know the pictures don't reall reflect that but...
