there are alarms w/LCD screen? r u referring to the compustar pager instead which has that little screen to tell u if your alarm is going off or not? what would the purpose of a LCD screen be in a car, to warn someone the car is armed by having a 4 inch display w/a fancy font?

lols oks.

I would recommend the 2005 model compustar, "White pager", looks really nice, plus you get the auto start, alarm, immobilizer etc... expensive to install tho if u get a shop to do it. in regards to aftermarket alarms, compustar is probably one of the most popular brands, my buddy has it installed in his TSX, but an older model, and it's pretty sweet.

this is the one i'm referring to, the newest model for compustar. It's expensive compared to a regular alarm because there is your BASIC install charge for alarm, then they start charging you for hood pins, trunk, windows etc...you have to wire different parts of your car to the alarm to make the pager function fully functionaly. It's all those little surcharges that most places will charge that make it expensive. There are a lot of nitty gritty small installs u have to do w/these alarms to make it fully functional due to it's extensive options it offers. A basic alarm that just sounds is cheap to install cause it doesn't have much functions besides going off when it feels vibrations for example.

yah, not as clean as the clifford, but it's not hideous where i would not get it, i don't mind either style. But keep in mind, the Compustar has a range TWICE as far as the clifford. Your getting better range w/the compustar which is 3000 FT while the clifford is about 13xx feet (1/4 mile). I would still buy the compustar for the quality in range, and the cosmetics isn't too hideous, atleast it doesn't look cheap looking, just a weirder shape, rather than the rectangle, but the quality of the pager is sturdy and well built.
