Just curious....

I think I read this before, but I forgot. I have a v6 6speed coupe, and I love how with one click of the driver side window button the window will automatically roll up. Unfortunately the passenger side doesn't have that auto up, or even auto down.....weak sauce. Anyways i was wondering if i can just go to the dealer and purchase the driver side window button and replace that with the passenger side button.....but i got a feeling there's more to it than just that. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Also, do you think it's possible to get the adjustable electronic seats on the passenger side? Just wondering that's all.....

And on a side note, I wish our cars had memory seats.

i dont get why honda built jus one side..... seriously if u think about it, how much more would it cost honda to just use a similar unit on the freakin opposite than to make a diff unit to roll windows up differently its kinda odd... nowadays most cars have auto up on all 4 windows.

i'll check into that, but i still want to retain that factory look, and feel, i just love how the driver side window switch feels, that little "click" pressing it down or pulling it up.

why wouldn't it be something as simple as using a second drivers part? what would it involve to make it work?

someone should try it.

heeeeeyyy i actually think i know the answer to this problem..

i used to have an 01 is300 and looked into the same thing...after i took apart the mast window control panel i found that under the window buttons there is actually a microchip. and when you click the windows to roll up it pushes down on the chip, when you hold it a second bump out on the control switc drops and hits anothe special button on the chip that sends the window up automatically...

i call it special becuase on the mast control for a 4 door car there are 4 window switches...that second button is only on the driver side windo...so even if you went and bought a driver side control button and installed it in the passenger door it won't work becuase the chip under the control doesn't have that second button on it that sends the window up automatically or 1touch like the driver side...

so its a little more tedious than just buying the switch... i haven't figured out a way but am curious to do it aswell

Maybe it's just more of a security feature, so u don't put someone else's window up by mistake....Dunno though.. Can't say that it really bothers me though.. I do like how u can put all the windows down with the remote.. That is pimp..

But most other cars like some Lexus cars has auto up and down features, even in the rear on some sedans.

I know a G35 has the window up feature on both sides, but it doesn't have memory seats and my friend complains about it to me everytime.

Maybe it will just take honda a little longer to catch up with some of these creature comforts.

I don't think you can just replace the switch, I think there are relays under the dash that are involved, and some kind of force sensing system to stop the window from auto-choking some poor mutt.

As for the seats, don't get me started, seems like everytime I get it adjusted just right(which is like NEVER ), somehow it moves while I'm sleeping and it takes me a week to get it back to the sweet spot again. Damn infinite adjustments! TOO MANY CHOICES....I want 4 not 10!
