I hardwired my car today, but I got a question, which fuse do most of ya'll wire it to? I can't seem to find one that completely shuts off when the car keys are removed.

EVerything works great but the radar seems to alwayz be on...

yo man, i wired mine to the winshield wipers, look in your manual, its on the bottom row of interior fuses, i want to say spot 11 maybe? Check it out, it works when the cars on, turns off when the keys out.

-EDIT- what kind of radar did you get? I recently got the Valentine 1.8 with the pop protection.

Make sure you have vg2 and don't worry about the cops in VA. I hardwired my passport 8500 and stuck it up by the rear view mirror. It can't be seen from the outside of the car and vg2 protects me from the radar detector detectors. Check check.

If u have the v1 i know that u can just unclip it from the wire and pull it off the windshield. Not sure about other radars. I had mine installed at the local car specialties shop for about 10 bucks, thought i would save myself the trouble of shorting out or f-cking somethin up 10 bucks was worht it. I need to send my v1 in to gt updated, has anyone done this if so, do u know the price?

i bought my v1 last november. they upgraded it for free!! back in march. usually they only just charge u for the new parts if needed. go to their website and click on upgrades and type in your 10 digit serial number and see what it says.
