Adding Subs to car w/ Navi

Posting it here because this only pertains to 7th gens, so postin in Audio section prolly wont get much 100% valid responses...

So anyone here w/ NAVI in their car get subs?

Anywayz I jus got sum subs for my car, and I have navi and I'm curious to see if there will be any conflicts w/ the system. Is there anything I should tell the installers about? Anything they should look for when wiring or any extra equipment I would need to get?

well, i dont have one, but i dont see how it would be any different from another system, if you're keeping the stock HU. all they do is tap the speaker wires, run a crossover, and then amp the signal for a sub. Or you could get the cleansweep if you wanted to upgrade the speakers at the same time. The problem area would be with the hybrid's white noise system, but i dont think your car has it.

yea man- dont do it. my friend has navi w/ subs and has been having major probs with it lately. took it to the dealer and the first thing he asked was if he had subs. he said yes, and the dealer said thats exactly whats causing the prob. is refusing to work on the car until the subs are out--- PM DeezV604 to hear him out

with subs your navi will be slightly out of wack on certain roads. forexample i was driving on a side road underneath i91, and the navigation put my car in the water. it was off by 50 yards or so.

other than that i havent had any issues, however my subs and amps arent exactly bumping a lot of power. so umm yeah thats bout it.

i have subs with navi and i have had NO problems at all. Works great. I know like 2 or 3 other people also that have subs with navi and have no problems.

As for being off course, even without the subs, the navi has some glitches. Its the same with my experiences witht he TL. Lexus also has that problem sometimes.

Good luck!
