Where do you guys get your new headlights from?

I was wondering where most people get there headlights from. Do you blackhouse them yourselves or do you buy them. If you buy them do you buy them off ebay? I was also wondering if there are any problems such as fogging in headlights. I want to buy the ebay blackhoused projectors, but im scared they might fog up.

i bought mine off of topendmotorsports.com...got them for a good price i think 205 shipped....got them quick....don't buy the projectors unless you plan on doing an HID retrofit...the light output is worse than ur stock bulb..just get black housings and put good bulbs in it...it looks good and doesnt cost an arm and a leg

someone that did a HID retrofit into the aftermarket projector housing, the light output came out awful looking (to me)...big shadows on the ground, i guess due to the housing? I was planning on doing a retro into that but instead bought the aftermarket jdm blackhousings with the clear reflector strip. Gonna retro those instead.

from time to time Ebay has 7th gen accord OEM headlights on sell.
I just got a PAIR for $95 shipped to canada.
Anything more than $50 a used pair is a major ripped off on Ebay.

ONE driver headlight actually was sold for like $47. Who ever bidded for that was in desperate need of a new headlight.

I am working on an OEM look with TSX projectors and didn't want to take off my stock headlights.
It will be blacked housing since my car is black
I am still deciding on what to do with the freaking bezels and shrouds.
Can't find any one selling the ones I want.

I'm actually going to be selling an extra set of headlights sometime next week. I was planning on black housing them. I use enough silicone to seal off any moisture as well as use hi temp bbq grill spray paint to eliminate any fumes that may cause condensation. I've done several 7th gen accord headlights ranging from clear headlights to a retrofit. Let me know if you're interested. I was going to sell them for around $120. The headlights are in flawless condition. They were only on the car for a few months.

ok the ones you got on ebay are not the same ones we are talking of that are on topendmotorsports.com you got the projectors that everyone has said since day one had crappy light output...search....and we got the stock housings that are blackhoused and have the clear side marker from topend....with those you just use stock 9005/9006 bulbs...your pretty much SOL unless you get a HID retrofit done

yes those are the bad ones...there are a bunch of threads on here talking about how bad they are....terrible light output....the ones we have are here...
http://www.topendmotorsports.com/ext...epo/index.html
these are basically the same housing as stock but they are black housed and in my case i ordered the ones without the corner orange reflector....and i am running some generic xenon bulbs right now that are really bright....but in your case if you want good light output you have two options....1. get rid of the housings or 2 have a retrofit done...and plan to spend 500+ dollars to get it done good and right...

IMO i would take apart your stock housings....and black them out and remove the orange strip....there is a DIY on here somewhere about that....and that will make a big difference in how it looks then i would run a set of silverstars or something comparable....but without a retrofit you are SOL with those housings

silverstars are great bulbs a little more expensive and don't always last the longest...opinions differ....but i think they are great or a set of piaa bulbs....just put ur stock housing back in and use either one of those bulbs and they will be 100 times better than the projectors

yo deepa.

i got the piaa xtreeme white 65 watts i believe in my ebay projectors and personally the light output is fine. the only beootch with that is that the piaa xtreeme whites cost 70 or so.

ill try and post pics of my light output. apart from a couple of hotspots i think i got lucky with my purchase. i am happy with my beam pattern and light output from my projectors with 65 watts piaas.
