cut shifter/new knob/pics!!!

went to C&C auto today to get the shifter cut and rethreaded...iono ive seen some other peoples shifters that look way lower...its probably the knob that makes it look nubby...anyway

see how much shorter Daveylin's is compared to mine? ::shrug:: shifting never felt so much better

if you mind mind me asking, how much was it? i imagine that itd be a pretty easy diy if you could find a machine/tool for rethreading. look good, but i would recommend u take off the shift boot and cut/restitch so theres not so much slack!

heh i considered putting mine there a few weeks ago, but decided not to bc it'd get in the way of armorall-ing, plus imho i think it makes the console look cluttered.

well i got the knob at my friends shop for 8 bucks...and cutting it and re threading it cost 35 bucks at C&C auto....i swear the guy said $25 over the phone but i guess not...::shrug:: no big deal....it feels great tho...ur right about the shift boot...ill prolly do it when i have time after finals...

u can definately DIY this...i just dont trust myself cutting stuff in my car ....i think u can get a hacksaw to cut thru the metal...and just get the rethreading thing at ace hardware or one of those places....but i figured buying those things would come out to around 20 bucks? and im probably going to rarely use those tools again...
