anyone have this headunit harness??

i found this on crutchfield and wondering if anyone installed this particular one..

i think the harness allows you to add a headunit to the compartment under the OEM headunit with the climate controls..

anyone know? any pictures?

Is your pioneer deck set in all the way? or did you have to leave it sticking out to let the LCD flip up correctly?

and how do you make use of your factory 6 disc changer?

does it just become a disc holder/clock? still unclear on this.

anyone got good clear pics of an N1 in place of the oem HU? With the LCD closed too if possible.
I hate to lose the look of the oem unit, but I definitely won't like it sticking out from the harness in the lower pocket.

The 6 disc changer just turns into a disc holder/clock.

the OEM HU just turns into a huge clock. I am 90% certain that if you plug in the white/red wire on the blue plug to a ground, you should be able to ditch the oem hu...the security wire is just a ground according to the ETM...grounds to one of the multiplexors.

That dash kit fits fine, it's nice to ditch the iem hu, it's junk

Yeah, I've seen the harness. Kinda wondering what it looks like installed.
Sux that the AC is above the HU. I'm looking to install an N1, and it's gonna bury the AC controls. Anyone know if the LCD will open correctly on this one?

Does anyone know what the difference between what this one and Scosche HA1573 looks like?
http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOHA1573B?vq_id=none

I saw this link:
http://www.v6performance.net/forums/...ht=lcd+install

Not sure which version they have though.....

Just wondering if different people have tried different ones. Does one look better than the other?

I'm almost done my screen in the HU display area....I ended up getting the kit that is atop this page, fits perfectly snug, and the harness has too much on it. The only reason I believe you 'need' the OEM HU in is to ground one of the multiplexors...at least that is what I got out of the ETM, but have yet to test my theory

Does the Metra kit work with the dual climate control? Not that I ever use it. But I know that the EX V6 is different than the 4 cylindar sedan my co worker has. I am scheduled to get hooked up tomorrow. 4 channel Amp, HU, 12 Disc Changer

I read some old post I think back in early 2004 saying that the Dual Climate system would be out within the year; but I've seen nothing as far as an update on that...

I am actually planning on using this unit, not the Metra because I want to keep my dual climate. It'd be cool if Metra came out w/ the kit for the Dual Climate that had a little LCD or display screen that still showed the numbers, etc.

Not sure if they do, that'd what I'd want to replace it though....I figure with this kit, I'll just run stock deck into aftermarket as AUX and I have six CD changer attached to my aftermarket deck ;-)

they eventually released a kit that simply convert dual into a single zone.. which is the same as single zone kit, with extra cable harness to make the conversion.

You guys think we have it bad. I was paying attention to my co-workers Mazda 6 and she is completely screwed if she wanted an after market unit. Her radio/HVAC unit takes up the whole dash from shifter to the top of the dash, all one piece. At least we have options.

Evil, I actually just called Crutchfield & I guess what I was asking is what is the difference between these two products:
http://www.cardomain.com/item/SCOHA1573B?vq_id=none Scosche HA1573
&
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-wrqIrYP...&display=L#Tab

I found out the one on Crutchfield is actually a Metra kit, not a Scosche kit. I'm not sure what most people here have??? But the Metra kit looks a lot nicer to me......

If you get an aftermarket to factory cd changer converter you can use the factory changer on the aux channel of the radio.
