powdercoat/paint stock wheels?

I have a silver six speed and was thinking about powdercoating my wheels black. I have a friend that works at a shop that does powdercoating and I can get a good deal. Anyone have any idea what it might look like? If anyone is good with photoshop, I can send some good pics to work with.

i don't think it'll look good... if it had a polished lip, that's another story, then again... a pic would be nice... how about chrome dipping???

I have thought about this too.

Have you thought of doing an 'artificial lip' like on this one?

No, it's not. You can mask off/protect areas that you don't want painted, just like with liquid paint.

hmmm, this is interesting. a cheap way to make a mod. maybe you could do something like those vw beetles that have those color inserts on their rims. i saw one the other day and it looked good.
