Research

I just did some research and went to hondaautomotiveparts.com, turns out the part numbers are different, which you really can go by. So I opened up my HELMS manual and it turns out that the 2 door mirrors are the same as the japan produced 4 door. And the USA produced 4 door are in a class on its own. This may be a good or a bad thing, A good thing because maybe the TSX is fully based on the japan produced accord, and us coupes will have an easier install which I am leaning towards. Or us coupes have to do what the 4 dr us produced sedans had/ have to do. If someone has more information on the TSX that would be helpful

Looks really good. Are the heated? Do they auto-close? Still worth it if they don't...just curious.

Good job BTW!

On Edit:

On closer inspection I notice that the front corners don't match up perfectly. Do you notice any wind noise as a result? I guess the TSX doesn't have the slight tapper that the Accord does. How do you feel about that part and would you mind posting a closeup of that area. Not being picky just want to know how close it is before I decide to copy you!

wind noise?
I'd be more worried about water leaking in there.

Agreed, but sealing it is do-able, while trimming wind resistance is more problematic.

To answer some questions:

Windnoise - NO! There is a little plastic tongue inside the TSX mirror that needs to be cut off. I did not cut enough of which prevented a PERFECT fit. Let me stress, you CANNOT "see" the mirror sticking out. I'll be taking them off and shaving it down more.

Rain - It has been like a monsoon up here and my car has been sitting out in it for 3 days and there is NO rain leakage.

I'll take some more close-ups for the anal folks but I'm pretty anal myself and I'm really happy about the mod

Again,

I'll try to post a how to........

Glad to hear! I really do like these, but, as you point out I am pretty anal about fit etc. I understand that these are heated but not auto folding. Any issues with wiring? Think I may order some from Acura next week. Don't mind paying their price since I'll be able to get my color. Kudos for getting the price you did!

They are not heated or they don't fold down

the 2005 TSX have heated, but it would be a pain to wire that.........

US accords dont have heat mirrors so it would be harder. but ya someone should try this on the coupes. if it doesnt fit then you can always sell it to a sedan owner
