foglight bulb question

H11 bulb = foglights
9006 = low beam

is there a difference b/w the 2? cuz they both look like the same bulb...

ie) 9005 and 9006 pretty similar..

would 9006 or a 9005 fit if i replace the H11 fogs?

+1....Different base. You can modify the bases on 9005/9006 I know. Just compare the 2 first.

sorry, dunno about the fogs, but 9005 and 9006 are definitely different. 9006 is the low beam, 51W stock (yes i know its kinda weird). 9005 is the stock high beam, 62W. there is a simple way to retrofit 65W 9005 bulbs to fit in your low beam sockets. it improves light output by at least 300 lumens, and does not pose any significant risk of electrical overheating or shorting the fuse from decreased resistance. ive had a 9005 retrofit in my car for a few months now, im lovin it. ask if u want details

i have a similar question before. i compared the H11 and 9006 HID bulb.

first picture on the right is the H11 bulb.

i think that the 9006 HID base need to be shave a bit to fit.
