If the first sentence of the product description inplies you're poor and can't afford a "real" supercharger, I think that speaks volumes.

How can they legally advertise the gains like that? They compared it to a 20 shot of nitrous. WTF? I thought that sh*t was illegal...

Anything with forced air into the intake manifold obviously will have some effect to performance. Duh! Question is that some of the numbers quoted in that article are not justified/backed up by engineering data. Plus, anything that goes on the Accord should be "compatible" with the Accord's reliability. So there is a second question there about "testing, testing and more testing".

However, my question is, on a hot summer day... does it leally make a difference blowing hot air at 250CFM into the engine or just blowing nothing? Do the “expensive” superchargers deal with hot air in some way? (… yes, y’all know how they do it)

During the winter months I temporarily converted to short ram (the K&N Typhoon, from the stock one) and at -20oC the Accord was flying! Same short ram did absolutely nothing during the summer months. Just a mental note I guess.

(my apologies to the old-timers around here... work takes too much time these days and no time for surfing v6p, hope things will quiet down at work soon so I can start messing with my j30 again.)

Here's the clincher, from their website...

Quote:
ECU Air Intake Ratio: Each car has an ECU installed to measure how much air ratio is entered into the engine. To get the best results we recommend purchasing a performance chip for your car before installing the Air Intake Blower.
